Traffic signal at Idaho 44 and Fisher Park Way will be turned off Thursday night
EAGLE – The traffic signal at the intersection of Idaho 44 and Fisher Park Way will be turned off overnight and flaggers will direct traffic through the intersection Thursday (Aug. 22), the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced. Traffic will be restricted to one lane at various times between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. during the night. The signal will be back in operation by Friday morning.
This work is part of ITD’s Linder Road to Ballantyne Lane improvement project on Idaho 44. To accommodate the anticipated future increase in traffic, the Idaho 44/ Linder Road intersection is being rebuilt. When complete, the Idaho 44/Linder Road intersection will have two through lanes in each direction on Idaho 44, double left-turn bays on Linder Road and right-turn lanes at all four sides of the intersection. In addition, Idaho 44 will be widened to five lanes from W. State Street to just west of Linder Road.
The current traffic pattern on Idaho 44 is in place through the end of August. Throughout September, traffic will be shifted to accomodate continuing constrruction. The project is expected to be complete by early October.
Drivers are reminded to slow down, pay attention in construction zones and be aware of the safety of construction workers. Motorists can expect delays during construction. Travelers should plan extra time for trips and, if possible, find an alternate route. Patience is appreciated.
