Signals on Idaho 44 at Linder Road, Park Lane and Fisher Park Way will be turned off Tuesday night (Sept. 17)

EAGLE – Traffic signals on Idaho 44 at Linder Road, Park Lane and Fisher Park Way will be turned off Tuesday night (Sept. 17) as crews prepare for the final traffic configuration, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced. Flaggers will direct traffic on Idaho 44 through the three intersections from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic will be restricted to a single lane at times through the night. Signals will return to operation by Wednesday morning (Sept. 18).

The traffic change is part of ITD’s improvement project on Idaho 44 from Linder Road to Ballantyne Lane. ITD is rebuilding the Idaho 44/ Linder Road intersection to accommodate future traffic increases. The project is expected to be complete by early October.

The rebuilt Idaho 44/Linder Road intersection will have two through lanes in each direction on Idaho 44, double left-turn bays on Linder Road and right-turn lanes at all four sides of the intersection. In addition, Idaho 44 will be widened to five lanes from W. State Street to just west of Linder Road.

Drivers are asked to slow down, exercise patience, pay attention and help ensure the safety of construction workers. Motorists can expect delays during construction and should plan extra time for trips through the intersection or, if possible, use an alternate route.
