Signal will be turned off and lanes restricted tonight at intersection of Idaho 44 and Linder Road
EAGLE – The traffic signal at Idaho 44 and Linder Road will be turned off tonight (Thursday, Sept. 19), as crews stripe the highway, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane at various times through the night. Flaggers will direct traffic at the intersection from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m., and the signal will return to operation Friday morning.
Pavement striping is part of ITD’s improvement project on Idaho 44 from Linder Road to Ballantyne Lane, which includes rebuilding the intersection of Idaho 44 and Linder Road and widening the highway. The project is expected to be complete by early October.
Drivers are asked to slow down, use patience, pay attention in the work zone and help assure the safety of construction workers. Motorists can expect delays during construction. They should plan extra time for trips and, if possible, find an alternate route.
For more information about the project, visit www.itd.idaho.gov and select Projects at the top of the screen. On the Projects page, choose Southwest Idaho on the right-side menu, scroll down to “Projects Under Construction/Beginning Soon” and go to State & Linder Design-Build.
