Outside lanes of eastbound I-84 will close today between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
BOISE - The two outside lanes of eastbound I-84 between Meridian Road and Eagle Road will close today between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to allow crews to replace two broken concrete slabs, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The two inside lanes will remain open, and the speed limit will remain at 65 miles per hour. The eastbound off-ramps at the Meridian Road Interchange and Eagle Road Interchange will remain open.
The broken concrete slabs are part of a section of Interstate 84 that is going to be rebuilt next year. This section of the highway is old, and the concrete slabs started to break up from wear and tear on the highway over the years.
