I-84 repair tomorrow to close two eastbound right-hand lanes from Meridian to Eagle
BOISE - Emergency repair to fix broken concrete slabs eastbound between the Meridian and Eagle interchanges will close the two right-hand lanes on Interstate 84 in that two-mile section tomorrow (Wednesday, Nov. 13), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The repairs will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., outside of the heaviest commuting times. Cones will be used to block off the lanes. Four broken slabs, ranging from four-feet square to 10-feet square, will be repaired.
The epoxy repairs are necessary to stabilize the surface before the winter-weather season. If not stabilized, they will completely fracture over the winter, resulting in large holes up to a foot deep in the roadway.
