Sandpoint to Kootenai Cutoff on U.S. 95 will open tomorrow
COEUR d'ALENE - Weather permitting, crews will open the U.S. 95 stretch northbound from Sandpoint to Kootenai Cutoff to traffic tomorrow (Wednesday, Nov. 13). The project widened U.S. 95 into a four-lane highway divided by a median, with controlled access and a new signal at the Bonner County Mall. Work began in spring 2012.

New traffic signals, signs and striping will be in place by the morning opening. Flaggers will be used to help guide drivers through the new traffic patterns in this 1.3-mile section.

Apollo Inc., Kennewick, Wash., is the contractor on this $12.7 million project.
