Idaho 75 asphalt removal to begin on Monday
KETCHUM – Drivers can expect delays and lane closures beginning Monday (Nov. 25) as crews return to the Timber Way-to-Big Wood River bridge project on Idaho 75 to remove asphalt from the construction zone, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Crews will break apart and remove asphalt that was discarded during the new roadway alignment. To facilitate the work, both lanes may be closed and flaggers will be used to guide traffic.
The process will be completed during the day and could take up to two weeks.
The contractor, Idaho Sand & Gravel, of Jerome, had started its winter shutdown of the project, and a change in the contract was required for the asphalt-removal.
