Work zone safety, 511 construction information interviews and news packages available Thursday (April 27)
BOISE - Major highway construction projects are in full swing throughout the Treasure Valley, and motorists are reminded to slow down in work zones and to learn about the route ahead through the Idaho Transportation Department's 511 phone system or Web system, 511.idaho.gov.
Idaho Transportation Department staff, Associated General Contractors representatives and law enforcement personnel will be available for interviews about work zone safety issues at the Interstate 84 Karcher Interchange construction site in Nampa between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday (April 27). In addition, information about the new 511 road condition system, which has been upgraded this spring to include construction and commercial vehicle information, will be available.
