U.S. 20 to be closed for waste shipment
RIGBY - The Idaho National Laboratory will close a 10-mile segment of U.S. 20/26 west of Idaho Falls early Thursday (April 27) morning to enable the transfer of waste drums to the former Argonne site, now the Materials and Fuels Complex, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
INL has been authorized to stop traffic for about an hour and 20 minutes to facilitate unhindered movement of waste from the Radioactive Waste Management Complex. The closure will take place between 1:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., from about milepost 266 to milepost 276.
