U.S. 12 reopens as avalanche threat diminishes
IDAHO COUNTY – A stretch of U.S. 12 from Lowell to Powell reopened today (Thursday, March 6), after closing Wednesday afternoon as an avalanche safety precaution.
Some snow was cleared from the highway at Milepost 159 after sliding onto the route from a nearby steep hillside.
