Blue Lakes Blvd. and Pole Line Road project will include lane closures and delays
SHOSHONE - Utility companies will relocate storm sewer lines at the intersection of Blue Lakes Boulevard and Pole Line Road beginning Monday (May 8), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The utility work is part of preparation for the new section of the Twin Falls Alternate Route from Washington Street to the end of the project at Blue Lakes Boulevard.
Motorists can expect possible 5-10 minute delays, as southbound traffic is intermittently reduced from two lanes to one. Flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone. Crews will work during from mid-morning to early afternoon. The relocation should be complete by Wednesday (May 10).
Motorists are reminded to slow down in highway construction zones. Rear-end collisions account for most work zone crashes. Following too closely, inattentive driving, failure to yield the right of way and improper lane changes also contribute to accidents in work zones.
