Left turns restricted at Chinden/Five Mile traffic signal to facilitate traffic through Chinden work zone
BOISE - Beginning Friday evening (May 5), left turns from westbound Chinden Boulevard onto Five Mile Road will not be permitted at the intersection's traffic signal, the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The change will reduce impacts to traffic from the Chinden widening project.
Crews will change the signal heads and install signs at the intersection to inform motorists of the restriction. Ada County Highway District traffic engineers will adjust the signal timing. The ACHD traffic section also will monitor the left-turn volumes at Garrett and Cloverdale and adjust signal timing there if necessary.
