I-84 eastbound lanes near Meridian restricted Wednesday for repair
BOISE - Idaho Transportation Department crews will repair the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 between the Eagle and Meridian interchanges Wednesday (April 9), requiring a temporary lane closure during the work to fix four broken concrete slabs.
The two outside (right) lanes will need to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in order to complete the repairs. There will be no speed reduction and all exits will remain open. The repair uses an epoxy-type material and cannot be performed overnight due to temperature requirements.
ITD will place a portable message board on site Monday (April 7) to give commuters advance notice of the closure.
The repairs are expected to cost about $5,000 from the department’s maintenance budget.
