Speed limit changes take effect in Troy this week
TROY – Drivers are advised to watch for speed-limit changes on Idaho 8 in Troy starting Wednesday (April 23), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Driving from west to east, motorists should watch for a speed-limit reduction from 50 mph to 45 mph on one section of Idaho 8, an increase from 35 mph to 45 mph on the next section, followed by an increase from 25 mph to 30 mph.
The changes are designed to provide better traffic flow and more consistent speeds.
Signs displaying the new speed limits will be put in place on Wednesday. The new speed limits do not take effect until the signs are posted.
