Eastbound I-84 “loop” on-ramp at Meridian Road will close overnight Friday (April 25)
MERIDIAN – The eastbound Interstate 84 “loop” on-ramp from southbound Meridian Road will close overnight Friday (April 25), starting at 10 p.m., to allow more room for crews working under the bridge. A temporary loop on-ramp will reopen by 7 the following morning.
During the overnight closure, motorists can still access eastbound I-84 from the on-ramp on the northbound side of Meridian Road. Flaggers will direct both northbound and southbound traffic across the ramp intersection.

Crews will finish the traffic shift Saturday night with the ramp open. The nearby eastbound I-84 off-ramp will be narrower on Friday and Saturday nights during the transition.
The speed limit will be 55 mph on I-84 during the overnight work. ITD urges drivers to leave early, slow down and pay attention when driving through the construction zone.
ITD is replacing the Meridian interchange with one that accommodates more traffic on Meridian Road and I-84. Construction began this month and is expected to be completed in late 2015.
