Overnight lane restrictions will affect Meridian Road traffic Thursday night at I-84 interchange
MERIDIAN – Meridian Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction over Interstate 84 Thursday night (May 8) while the Idaho Transportation Department removes an overhead sign in the construction zone.
The traffic restrictions will begin at 10 p.m. Thursday. Signs will direct traffic at the interchange ramps and across the I-84 bridge. Two lanes will re-open in both directions by 5 a.m. Friday (May 9).
The speed limit will be 35 mph on Meridian Road during the overnight work.
ITD is replacing the current Meridian interchange with one that accommodates more traffic and more lanes on I-84. Removing the overhead sign will give crews more room to build the new bridge over I-84.
Concrete Placing Company, of Boise, is the contractor for the $50.8 million project.
