Bridge in Weiser gets overlay to protect new deck starting Monday
BOISE - The newly rebuilt Weiser River bridge, south of Weiser on U.S. 95, will receive an epoxy overlay beginning Monday (May 19) to protect the new driving surface, the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The overlay is expected to finish before Memorial Day Weekend.
Crews will work each day from 5 a.m.-7 p.m., keeping one lane open in each direction throughout the project. They will apply the epoxy on one-third of the bridge deck at a time and shift one lane of traffic into the center median.
The $4.8 million project to replace the aging bridge began in March 2013. This is the final piece of that project.
