Drivers advised to expect delays starting next week on Idaho 8 for resurfacing

LATAH COUNTY – Drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes on Idaho 8 starting next week for resurfacing, the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The work is scheduled to be completed approximately Aug. 5. Guardrail also will be replaced and rumble strips will be installed on the fog line to improve safety.

Idaho 8, from the east side of Troy to the west side of Deary (milepost 14.6-25.8), will be resurfaced starting Monday (June 2).

There will be temporary lane reductions. Flaggers and possibly pilot cars will guide drivers through the area. Work will occur during daylight hours.

Valley Paving and Asphalt Inc., of Cottonwood, was awarded the $1.87 million contract.
