Drivers advised to expect delays on U.S. 12 for bridge project starting Monday

LEWISTON – Drivers are advised to expect delays of up to 15 minutes on U.S. 12 starting Monday (June 30) for a resurfacing of the Crooked Fork Creek Bridge, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The bridge, located at Milepost 169 on U.S. 12, will be sealed with an epoxy overlay that helps keep the deck free from ice and extend its life.

There will be lane reductions on the bridge. Flagging staff and traffic signals will direct drivers. Downhill drivers should be prepared to stop at the bottom of the hill to merge into a single lane to cross the bridge.

Braun-Jensen, Inc., of Payette, Idaho, was awarded the $117,000 contract. The work is scheduled to finish Wednesday, July 2.

Those with questions on the project should contact Eric Kokernak at eric.kokernak@itd.idaho.gov or by phone at (208) 799-4234.
