Ramps will close at Gowen tonight
BOISE - Three on- and off-ramps will be closed at the Gowen Interchange tonight (Thursday, July 10) while crews re-stripe and place guardrail on Interstate 84. This work is part of the larger project underway at that location to replace the Gowen Road Interchange by late next year.
• The westbound on-ramp will close from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• The westbound and eastbound off-ramps will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• The eastbound on-ramp and I-84 will be open all night.
ITD will move traffic to the westbound I-84 bridge over Gowen Road before the eastbound bridge is demolished Friday and Saturday nights. I-84 will be reduced to one lane in both directions for several months while the new eastbound bridge is under construction.
Knife River Corporation, of Boise, is the contractor on the $27 million project.
