Weekly overnight lane restrictions begin Sunday night on Eagle Road between Franklin and I-84

MERIDIAN – Southbound Eagle Road will be reduced to one lane at night for construction between Franklin Road and Interstate 84, starting Sunday night (Aug. 3), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Through early September, overnight restrictions will begin at 10 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. Sunday nights through Thursday mornings. Eagle Road will be reduced to 40 mph at night while crews are working. All lanes will be open during daytime hours, and on Friday and Saturday nights.

ITD is adding a third southbound lane on Eagle Road between Franklin Road and I-84. The current overnight lane restrictions will allow crews to install drainage facilities and relocate utilities for the project.

The utility work will require intermittent restrictions on nearby streets such as Magic View Drive between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Idaho Sand & Gravel, of Nampa, is the contractor on this $1 million project. Construction is expected to be completed in mid-September 2014.
