Drivers can expect I-84 lane restrictions near Broadway Avenue Interchange Friday night
BOISE – Freeway lanes in both directions near the Broadway Avenue Interchange will be restricted overnight Friday (Sept. 12) as crews place girders for the bridge over the railroad just east of the big interchange, the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The bigger Broadway interchange bridge girders are slated for late fall.
Lanes will be restricted overnight from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. The Hillcrest railroad bridge is being widened as part of improvements to Interstate 84.
“ITD reminds drivers to watch for construction signs and changing traffic patterns,” said Reed Hollinshead, ITD Communications Specialist. “For the safety of motorists and construction crews, it’s important for everyone to slow down and pay attention.”
The speed limit is 55 mph on I-84 and 25 mph on Broadway Avenue.
Construction is expected to be completed in late 2015.
