Lane restrictions Sunday night on Meridian Road between I-84 and Overland Road allow restriping
MERIDIAN - Meridian Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Interstate 84 and Overland Road Sunday night (Sept. 21) while crews restripe the roadway. Flaggers will direct motorists through the construction zone, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The lane restrictions will be in place from 10 p.m. Sunday to Monday (Sept. 22) at 5 a.m. Once restriping is complete, traffic using this section of Meridian Road will shift to the east to create a work zone to build temporary retaining walls.
The speed limit will be 35 mph on Meridian Road during the overnight work.
ITD is replacing the current Meridian Road Interchange with one that accommodates more traffic and more lanes on I-84.
Concrete Placing Company, of Boise, is the contractor for the $50.8 million interchange-reconstruction project.
