I-84 closed under Meridian Road Interchange for bridge demolition Friday night (Oct. 24)
MERIDIAN - Traffic on Interstate 84 will be detoured across the Meridian Road Interchange Friday night (Oct. 24) while crews demolish the old bridge. The detour will begin at 10 p.m. and end at 7 a.m. Saturday morning.
During the closure, traffic will exit I-84 at the Meridian interchange, cross Meridian Road and re-enter the freeway from the opposite on-ramp.
Flaggers will direct traffic during the closure.
On Saturday night (Oct. 25), lane restrictions will be in place on I-84 under the interchange from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. as crews haul debris from the old bridge to an off-site location.
Removing the old bridge will clear the area for crews to begin constructing the east half of the new interchange bridge. ITD opened the west half of the new bridge on Monday morning.
