Westbound on- and off-ramps at Gowen Interchange will be closed TONIGHT (Nov. 11)
BOISE – The westbound I-84 on- and off-ramps will be closed at the Gowen Road Interchange tonight (Nov. 11), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The on- and off- ramps will close at 8 p.m. and reopen at 5 a.m. Wednesday. Crews will be working to re-stripe both westbound ramps.
During the closure, motorists may access westbound I-84 from the Broadway Avenue Interchange via Federal Way. Motorists planning to get off westbound I-84 at Gowen will need to exit early at the Eisenman Interchange. Signage for the Gowen off-ramp closure will be posted on westbound I-84 prior to the Eisenman exit ramp.
Overnight lane restrictions will be in place on westbound I-84 from the Eisenman Interchange to just west of the Gowen Interchange, as crews will also be re-striping this stretch of interstate. The lane restrictions on I-84 will be in place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Knife River Corporation, of Boise, is the contractor for this $27 million project.
