Southwest Idaho highway construction report for Nov. 14-21
I-84, Broadway Avenue Interchange
Starting Monday (Nov. 17), overnight lane restrictions on Interstate 84 will begin at
the Broadway Interchange. The overnight lane restrictions (8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
will be in place on intermittent nights through the end of December, weather
permitting. Lanes will be restricted so
crews can form the west half of the new bridge deck over I-84.
Crews have begun excavating the stormwater drainage area behind the westbound on-ramp, and the new soundwall is expected to be nearly complete by the end of next week.

I-84, Gowen Road Interchange
The eastbound I-84 ramps at Gowen Road will be closed for several nights early
next week. Closing the ramps will allow crews to restripe I-84; the work is
part of preparation to reopen the eastbound side of the interstate to two lanes
near the Gowen Interchange. Work is weather dependent.
Crews will remove lane restrictions in place for the past several weeks on eastbound I-84 between the Eisenman and Gowen interchanges. ITD anticipates the eastbound side of the interstate will be back open to two lanes by the end of next week.

I-84, Meridian
Road Interchange
Work continues on the east half of the new bridge over I-84. Crews are
currently constructing the bridge piers, columns and walls. In addition,
construction has begun to rebuild the east half of Meridian Road between
Overland Road and the interstate ramps.
