Drivers can expect flagging and lane restrictions Monday through Wednesday (Nov. 24-26) near Marsing

MARSING – Intermittent lane restrictions will be in place on Idaho 55 between Marsing and the junction with U.S. 95 Monday through Wednesday (Nov. 24-26) as preparations continue for an upcoming bridge-replacement and roadway-improvement project, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.

At various locations, flaggers will direct traffic in alternating directions from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. As work is completed in these areas, flagggers will move the area of restriction.

Lane restrictions will give crews room to drill the roadway. ITD is drilling to test soil, which will help determine the best application method for rehabilitating Idaho 55 near Marsing. Motorists should expect intermittent delays when traveling on Idaho 55 between Marsing and U.S. 95.

ITD is planning to replace the Snake River Bridge and make roadway improvements to Idaho 55 between Marsing and the U.S. 95 junction. The project is in preliminary design.

Next year, ITD will conduct public outreach to involve and gather input from the local community.
