Westbound I-84 traffic will shift into median at Broadway Interchange tonight (Dec. 16)
BOISE – Tonight (Dec. 16), westbound Interstate 84 will be reduced to one lane from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. as crews put a new traffic pattern in place at the Broadway Interchange.
Crews will work overnight to shift westbound traffic into the median. In addition, a concrete barrier and barrels will be placed to create a dedicated westbound exit lane at the Broadway Interchange.
The dedicated exit lane will be in place for the next several weeks. Drivers planning to exit westbound I-84 at Broadway Avenue will need to get into the far right lane early. If the exit is missed, the next opportunity to turn around is the Vista Interchange.
Traffic will use the median through next summer as crews rebuild the outside lanes of I-84 and the railroad bridges just east of the Broadway Interchange.
