Traffic signal at Meridian and Overland will be turned off overnight Tuesday and Wednesday (Jan. 13 and 14)

MERIDIAN – Crews will be working overnight at the intersection of Meridian and Overland roads Tuesday and Wednesday (Jan. 13 and 14) to install a new traffic signal, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced. The new signal will be in place by Thursday morning.

The signal will be turned off both nights, and flaggers will direct traffic through the intersection from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The signal will be in operation during the day.

For the next several months, pedestrians will not be able to cross Meridian Road from the north side of Overland Road. A pedestrian detour will be in place during this time.
