Westbound lane nearest median to close Wednesday for Greensferry Overpass work in Post Falls
POST FALLS - The inside westbound lane nearest the median of Interstate 90 near Post Falls will close Wednesday (Jan. 21) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. as crews place concrete pier footings for the new Greensferry Overpass bridge, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Electronic message boards will be used to give motorists advanced warnings about the upcoming lane closure. Crews are currently working on the center pier, but no lane restrictions are needed for this work.

Year-long construction of the overpass in Post Falls began Dec. 1, 2014. The project will build a new bridge spanning I-90 and Schneidmiller Avenue on the south side of the freeway. When completed, the new structure will feature two lanes in each direction, a center-turn lane, bicycle lanes and sidewalks on both sides connecting to Centennial Park.

Ralph L. Wadsworth (RLW), of Draper, Utah, is the firm responsible for this $15 million design-build project.

The Post Falls Urban Renewal Agency funded the project.
