Construction to rebuild Gowen Road near I-84 begins Sunday night (Jan. 25)
BOISE--On Sunday night (Jan. 25), traffic on Gowen Road is being shifted to create a work zone for making improvements between Eisenman Road and Federal Way. Motorists will use temporary pavement on the north side of Gowen Road as crews rebuild the south side.
The eastbound I-84 off-ramp will be closed Sunday night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews stripe the roadway, install guardrail and install temporary signals. For approximately the next two weeks, the designated left-turn lane on Eisenman Road coming out of the Chevron station will be closed.

ITD is rebuilding Gowen Road from Federal Way to S. Eisenman Road as part of the I-84, Gowen Interchange Project.
Over the next year, Gowen Road will be widened to two through lanes in both directions, and a third lane will be added on the eastbound side of Gowen Road. The lanes will be wider than the existing lanes, and sidewalk, curb and bicycle lanes will be added.
Construction updates will be sent via email and posted on the project website at www.itd.idaho.gov/GowenInterchange. To sign up for construction updates, contact ITD at comments@itd.idaho.gov, visit the project website or call (208) 334-8005.
