Overnight lane restrictions on Gowen Road between Federal Way and Eisenman begin Monday (Feb. 23)
BOISE – Gowen Road will be restricted to one lane between Federal Way and Eisenman Road from Monday night (Feb. 23) through March 6 as crews excavate a utility trench along Gowen Road and install sign brackets on the underside of the Interstate 84 bridge.
Flaggers will direct traffic in alternating directions. Lane restrictions will be in place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Over the next few weeks, crews will be drilling signal bases at the intersection of Gowen Road and Federal Way. This will require the free-running right-turn lanes at the southeast and northwest corners of the intersection to be closed intermittently through March.
The free-running right-turn lanes from Federal Way onto Gowen Road will be removed in several weeks as part of ITD’s project to reconfigure the intersection.
Knife River Construction, of Boise, is the contractor for the Gowen Road Interchange project.
