I-84 guardrail improvements in Canyon County begin Sunday (March 15)
CALDWELL--Guardrail upgrades are slated for a section of Interstate 84 in Canyon County.
The replacement and installation of guardrail between milepost 30 to 35 will start March 15 (Sunday) and wrap up March 26 (Thursday).
Between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., the interstate will be restricted to one lane in the work zone, and the speed reduced to 55 mph.
The westbound section will be completed before crews move to the eastbound side of I-84.
Portable message signs and traffic control will be used to guide motorists, and ITD reminds drivers to slow down and pay attention.
NorthWest Guardrail, of Boise, is the contractor. The contract amount is $135,767.
