Bridge demolition at I-84, Gowen Interchange scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights (March 6 and 7)
BOISE – The Idaho Transportation Department will be demolishing the westbound I-84 bridge over Gowen Road this weekend. On Friday and Saturday nights (March 6 and 7), the westbound I-84 on- and off-ramps will be closed from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.
During the demolition, Gowen Road will be closed in both directions between Federal Way and the eastbound off-ramps. Flaggers will direct traffic on and off the eastbound ramps.
All traffic will share the eastbound I-84 bridge over Gowen Road through this summer while crews rebuild the westbound bridge. During this time, I-84 will be reduced to one lane in both directions from just west of the Gowen Interchange to the Eisenman Interchange.
Knife River Construction is the contractor for the Gowen Interchange replacement project.
