Intermittent nighttime lane restrictions on Interstate 84 near Broadway Interchange through March

BOISE – Overnight lane restrictions will be in place on I-84 near the Broadway Interchange through the end of March, announced the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD). Lanes will be restricted intermittently at night from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. on weekends.

The lane restrictions will allow crews to continue building the east half of the Broadway Avenue bridge over the interstate. Over the next several weeks crews will be placing girders at the I-84 railroad bridge, and working on the deck and installing lights on the interchange bridge structure.

The work is part of constructing the new I-84 Broadway Interchange, which is expected to be complete by the end of this year.

The speed limit is 55 mph on I-84 and 25 mph on Broadway Avenue.

To sign up for email construction updates, contact ITD at comments@itd.idaho.gov, visit the project website at www.itd.idaho.gov/BroadwayInterchange or call (208) 334-8005.
