REMINDER: I-84 will close between Broadway and Eisenman tonight and Wednesday nights for blasting at Gowen
BOISE – Interstate 84 will be impacted as crews blast rock at the Gowen Road Interchange on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (March 10 and 11), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. ITD is blasting rock to make room for the new interchange, which is expected to be complete by the end of this year.
On both nights, I-84 will be completely closed in both directions between the Eisenman and Broadway interchanges from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
During the two overnight closures, I-84 traffic will detour to Federal Way. In addition to blasting, crews will also be placing overhead signage on the interstate.
