I-84 eastbound on-ramp at Gowen Interchange will be closed Friday and Monday nights (March 13 and 16)
BOISE – The eastbound Interstate 84 on-ramp at the Gowen Road Interchange will be closed Friday and Monday nights (March 13 and 16), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. On both nights, the ramp will close at 8 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.
Closing the ramp allows crews to relocate a gas line as part of utility work for the interchange project. During the on-ramp closures, motorists will be detoured along Eisenman Road to the eastbound on-ramp at the Eisenman Road Interchange.

Through the end of the month, intermittent overnight lane restrictions will be in place on Gowen Road as crews widen and rebuild the roadway between Federal Way and Eisenman Road. Lanes will be reduced from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays and until 7 a.m. on weekends.
“There is currently a great amount of activity on Gowen Road, and it will continue to get busier as summer approaches,” said Project Manager Merrill Sharp. “ITD can’t stress enough how important it
is for drivers to slow down, use extra caution and watch out for heavy equipment.”
ITD reminds drivers that the speed limit is 25 mph on Gowen Road and Federal Way and 55 mph on I-84.
