I-84 interchanges near Glenns Ferry to receive seal coats Monday

BOISE - Lanes will be reduced at three Interstate 84 interchange on- and off-ramps near Glenns Ferry Monday (June 2) as crews apply seal coats, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

All three interchanges at mileposts 121 (Glenns Ferry), 125 and 129 will remain open during the process, but motorists need to be aware the east- and westbound ramps will be reduced from two to one lane temporarily. Flaggers will help direct traffic onto and off I-84. No work is planned on the interstate.

Traffic control devices will be placed at about 7 a.m., and seal-coat application will start at about 9:30 a.m. at exit 121. Work on the other two interchanges, at exits 125 and 129, will follow in order; each should take about two-and-a-half hours to complete.

The interchange work is the culmination of an $11.8 million Glenns Ferry to King Hill I-84 westbound paving project by Western Construction done last summer. The seal coats will be applied by Snake River Construction of Twin Falls.
In the event of inclement weather, the seal coat work will be rescheduled.
