I-84 westbound off-ramp at Eagle Interchange will reopen to two lanes Wednesday night (March 25)
BOISE – Crews will be working at the Eagle Road Interchange from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to remove lane restrictions on the Interstate 84 westbound off-ramp Wednesday night (March 25), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The westbound off-ramp has been restricted to one lane for several weeks as crews rebuild the outside lanes and shoulders of I-84.
The same night, traffic will be shifted from the temporary westbound on-ramp back onto the original ramp.
“Drivers can expect to see that the length and merge points at the Eagle Interchange westbound on-ramp will change again within the next few weeks,” said Jayme Coonce, ITD District 3 project engineer. “Merging patterns will be adjusted several more times to build a culvert bridge underneath the ramp and rebuild the outside lanes and shoulders.”
The work is part of ITD’s project to rehabilitate I-84 between Meridian and Five Mile roads. Construction is expected to be complete late this year.
