UPDATE: Installation of weigh-in-motion system for Huetter Port in Post Falls closes I-90 lane through May 8
Note: The speed limit is reduced to 55 mph from milepost 2.7 to 6.2 to ensure drivers' safety.

FALLS - Installation of a weigh-in-motion system has closed a lane on
Interstate 90 in a section of Post Falls about two miles west of the
Huetter Port of Entry, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The closure, on the eastbound outside lane from milepost 6.2 to 6.5
(near the eastbound Exit 7 off-ramp), will continue through May 8.
Work
began just a few days ago with widening to accommodate the traffic
shift necessary for installation of the system. Crews will initially be
installing a concrete slab 12 feet wide and 300 feet long within the
barrier closure. The slab will contain the sensors and all electronics
for the weigh-in-motion system.
Other electrical work will continue without the use of the lane closure.
Cameron Reilly LLC from Spokane Valley, Wash., is the contractor for this $250,000 project.
