Traffic shifts to temporary westbound ramps at I-84 Eagle Interchange scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday nights
BOISE – Motorists will be shifted onto temporary westbound on- and off-ramps at the Eagle Road Interchange on Wednesday and Thursday nights (April 29 and 30), the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.
Drivers will use the temporary ramps through late May while crews continue to rebuild the outside lanes and shoulders of Interstate 84. Both ramps are located further south than where motorists currently enter and exit westbound I-84 at Eagle Road.
“The new I-84 westbound off-ramp at Eagle Road will be very similar to the way it was before construction began, in that it will have two exit lanes,” explained Jayme Coonce, ITD District 3 project engineer. “The configuration of the westbound on-ramp will allow motorists to easily merge with I-84 traffic.”
The work is part of ITD’s project to rehabilitate I-84 between Meridian and Five Mile roads. Construction is expected to be complete late this year.
