Pipe replacement to occur on U.S. 20/26 in Caldwell starting tomorrow (May 1)
BOISE—Idaho Transportation Department maintenance crews will replace a pipe located under U.S. 20-26 in Caldwell beginning Friday (May 1) through Sunday (May 3).
This week, ITD crews noted water eroding around the pipe. It was determined this section of pipe needs to be replaced as soon as possible to ensure the roadway isn’t compromised.
Work is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Friday, and 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday continuing until 8 p.m. each night, between Midland Boulevard and Knott Lane in the westbound lane. After westbound work is
completed, crews will move to the eastbound side of U.S. 20/26.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone with flaggers in place helping direct motorists.
Drivers are encouraged to leave early and consider an alternate route during the Friday morning and afternoon commute hours.
