Westbound Interstate 84 will be closed TONIGHT (May 6) at Gowen Interchange for paving activities
BOISE – Westbound Interstate 84 will be closed tonight (May 6) at the Gowen Interchange, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced. The closure, which will begin at 9:30 p.m., will allow crews to pave a section of the interstate. I-84 will reopen at 5 a.m. tomorrow (May 7).
During the overnight closure, westbound traffic will exit I-84 at the Gowen Interchange, cross Gowen Road and re-enter I-84 from the opposite on-ramp. Flaggers will direct traffic.
ITD reminds drivers to slow down and pay attention in the work zone. The speed limit is 55 mph on I-84 and 25 mph on Gowen Road.
