Interstate 84 restrictions on Sunday morning (June 7) due to organized motorcycle ride

BOISE—On Sunday June 7, Interstate 84 will experience rolling law enforcement closures and restricted access to safely accommodate motorcyclists participating in the Idaho Patriot Thunder motorcycle ride between Nampa and Mountain Home.

The procession, escorted by Idaho State Police, starts at 11 a.m. at Harley-Davidson in Meridian at Eagle Road (exit 46). Motorists should plan for I-84 eastbound on-and off ramp and surface street closures beginning at around 10:45 a.m. from the Garrity Interchange in Nampa (exit 38) to exit 95 in Mountain Home, where the ride concludes. As the motorcade approaches each eastbound on and off-ramp, the traveling public will not be permitted to enter, join or pass the motorcycle procession.

Personnel from the Idaho Transportation Department, ISP and multiple local law enforcement agencies from Ada and Elmore counties will be monitoring traffic conditions and interstate access at the following interchanges prior to, during, and after the ride concludes at around 12:30pm:

Garrity Boulevard, Ten Mile Road, Meridian Road, Eagle Road, Franklin Road, Milwaukee, Wye Interchange, Cole Road/Overland, Orchard Street, Vista Avenue, Broadway Avenue, Gowen Road, Eisenman Road, East Boise Rest Area, Blacks Creek Road, East Boise Port of Entry, Mayfield Road, Simco Road, I-84B/Old U.S. 30 (exit 90) and exit 95 in Mountain Home.

The public can also expect delays on American Legion Boulevard as the ride exits the interstate and ends in Carl Miller Park. After that time, regular traffic flow should resume.

Motorists should expect delays on Sunday morning anywhere along I-84 in the Treasure Valley and are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
