U.S. 95 Thorncreek Road to Moscow community impact assessment July 12-14
LEWISTON A community impact assessment will be conducted for the U.S. 95 Thorncreek Road to Moscow on July 12, 13 and 14, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.

The assessment will identify the potential impacts of the three proposed alternatives/alignments (W4, C3 and E2) on the following:
  • Economics
  • Recreation
  • Land use
  • Public services
  • Safety
Input into the assessment can be given by completing a questionnaire or participating in a one-on-one interview.

Questionnaires and interviews will be available between noon and 7 p.m. on July 12, 13 and 14 at the Eastside Marketplace off the Troy Highway. Please allow 30 minutes to complete the questionnaire or be interviewed.

The Federal Highway Administration approved W4, C3 and E2 for further study in June.

FHWA's approval means ITD will now analyze W4, C3 and E2 in greater detail and document findings in the draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS). The DEIS will also recommend an alternative/alignment for design and construction.

ITD will also continue to analyze a no action alternative/alignment. No action will be established as a baseline of existing conditions.
