Paving project in Bellevue begins Monday (June 15)

BELLEVUE – Drivers can expect a lane closure and short delays on Idaho 75 next week (June 15-19) as work to repair asphalt is completed, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The asphalt-replacement project will include removing approximately two inches of asphalt from the surface of the roadway and laying a mat of new asphalt in the north end of Bellevue. Work will take place between Spruce Street and Kirtley Street in the southbound right lane.

Starting Monday (June 15), work will begin by removing asphalt throughout the work area. Paving is expected to begin on Tuesday or Wednesday and finish by June 19.

The southbound right lane will be closed to through traffic, but drivers will be able to access adjacent businesses through open approaches only. Traffic will be reduced to one lane, with alternating lane closures. Drivers are reminded to watch for flaggers in the construction zone from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily for about a week, and are cautioned to be prepared for bumps and uneven driving surfaces through the work zone.

Drivers are urged to be cautious near the construction zone and watch for workers and equipment. ITD appreciates the patience and cooperation of those driving through the work zone.
