BOISE—On Saturday July 18, a section of U.S. 20/26 (Chinden Boulevard) in Garden City will be restricted to motorists to safely accommodate the Idaho Cattle Association’s Centennial Cattle Drive participants. The event includes livestock and its handlers.
The procession starts at 9:30 a.m. near 44th Street in Garden City and will extend west to Kent Street where the event will end at Expo Idaho. Motorists should plan for Chinden Boulevard and surface-street closures to be in place during the cattle drive. The traveling public will not be permitted to enter, join or pass the moving event.
Personnel from the Garden City Police Department, ITD and the Ada County Highway District will be monitoring traffic conditions and access prior to, during and after the event concludes at around 11:30 a.m.
Motorists should expect delays Saturday morning anywhere along Chinden Boulevard in Garden City and are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
