I-90 restrictions Wednesday, Friday for bridge work on Greensferry Overpass
COEUR D'ALENE - Drivers will encounter lane closures on Interstate 90 in Post Falls Wednesday (July 8) and Friday (July 10) for concrete pours needed to construct the new Greensferry Overpass. The year-long project began in December 2014.

The eastbound right lane of I-90 will close from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday, and both eastbound and westbound lanes will be impacted on Friday, also between 4 a.m. and 9 a.m. On Friday, crews will close the westbound right lane first, then the westbound left lane, and lastly, the eastbound left lane will be closed to do the work.

Ralph Wadsworth Construction, of Draper, Utah, is performing the work on behalf of the city of Post Falls. The Post Falls Urban Renewal Agency is funding the $15 million project.

The work is a design-build project, which streamlines the effort by having a single point of responsibility (RLW) that will complete overlapping design and construction phases of the project. When completed, the new structure will feature two lanes in each direction, a center-turn lane, bicycle lanes and sidewalks on both sides connecting to Centennial Park.

The project will improve connectivity, traffic mobility and emergency response between the business districts and residential areas north and south of the interstate.
