Interstate 84 between the Wye Interchange and Cloverdale Road in Boise to open to four lanes Monday morning (July 13)
BOISE--Interstate 84 between the Cloverdale Overpass and the Wye Interchange will be returned to four lanes by Monday morning (July 13), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
When reopened, drivers will use the newly constructed outside lanes and shoulders, which before the recent improvements had not been rebuilt since the 1960s.
“Lane restrictions have been in place for the past several months on this stretch of interstate as crews rebuilt the outside lanes and shoulders,” said ITD Project Engineer Jayme Coonce. “While construction on I-84 will continue from Cloverdale to Meridian for several more weeks, this rehabilitation project is on schedule to wrap up in August.”
Over the weekend (July 10-12), lane restrictions will be in place on I-84 from Cloverdale to the Wye as crews prepare to open the new and improved fourth lane. Work this weekend will include striping, moving guardrail and shifting traffic.
