Interstate 84 reduced to one lane in each direction at the Broadway Interchange Thursday night (July 16)

BOISE – Interstate 84 will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the Broadway Avenue Interchange on Thursday night (July 16), the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced. Lane restrictions will be in place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. as crews place and adjust overhead signage on the interstate.

Also on Thursday night, the traffic signal on Broadway Avenue at I-84 will be turned off from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Flaggers will direct traffic on, off and over the Broadway Interchange as crews work on the signal.

Overnight lane restrictions will be in place on Broadway Avenue and the I-84 ramps during this work, which is being done in preparation for a traffic shift that will be put in place next week.

Lane restrictions in the area will continue on Broadway Avenue through the summer while crews finish paving the area and rebuilding the roadway between the New York Canal and TA Travel Center.
